About Us
We’ve seen the healthcare journey from all sides. As Physicians, as patients, and as family.
We’re Family, Just Like You
We’re daughters, sisters, parents, and friends who have been in your shoes—advocating for the people we love. We understand what it feels like to want answers, guidance, and someone to lean on.
We’re Doctors Who Care
With over 40 years of combined clinical experience in the ER, ICU, clinic, OR, and the Trauma Service, we’ve spent our careers helping people through some of life’s most challenging moments. Now, we’re using that knowledge to support you in a whole new way.
We’re Here to Make a Difference
We believe healthcare doesn’t have to feel so overwhelming. Having a physician advocate in your corner can break down barriers, simplify the process, and help you get the care and understanding you deserve.
At An Advocate For Dad, we combine professional expertise with a personal touch to make healthcare work better for you.
Hi, We’re Angie and Kelly
We’re a board certified acute care surgeon and an emergency physician and are passionate about independent patient advocacy. We bonded through a shared experience of helping our fathers navigate the healthcare system after the devastating diagnosis of glioblastoma.
Our Mission
To bridge the gap between patients and the healthcare system by providing compassionate, physician-led advocacy that prioritizes understanding, guidance, and personalized support. We are dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate their healthcare journeys with confidence and peace of mind.
Beyond supporting our clients, we aim to inspire and encourage more physicians to step into advocacy roles, ensuring that everyone who wants or needs an advocate has access to one. Together, we can transform healthcare into a system where patients feel heard, supported, and valued.
More about Dr. Ingraham
Dr. Angela Ingraham is also a board member of Health AdvocateX, a national non-profit organization that promotes health advocacy with the purpose of helping every person get the care they deserve.
Our Philosophy
We believe no one should feel lost or overwhelmed when it comes to their health. Our philosophy is simple: healthcare should focus not just on what’s the matter with you, but on what matters to you. The more you understand about your medical care, the better equipped you are to make decisions that align with your values and goals. We prioritize clear communication, thoughtful listening, and ensuring you always feel informed, supported, and in control.
